Privacy policy

1. Introduction

FreqSpace ("we", "our app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected when you use the FreqSpace app.

2. Data we collect

To provide the service and improve your experience, we collect:

• Account and profile information: Your name, age, gender, preferences, profile photos, and other bio details you provide.
• In-app interaction data: Your follows, connections, posts, messages, reactions, and in-app activity.
• Location information: When you allow access in device settings, we may use foreground device location while the app is open to suggest your city and country for your profile and discovery. If you grant precise location, we may store approximate coordinates on your profile to improve discovery and local features; you can also enter your city manually. We do not use background location for continuous tracking.
• Push notification data: A device push token and related technical data so we can deliver notifications (for example new messages, connection requests, or activity), where you have opted in and the OS allows it.
• Sign-in and identity provider: Registration and sign-in are available only via Sign in with Apple. Apple processes certain identity data under its own policies; we also store the information needed to operate the app in our systems.
• Technical and device information: IP address, device model, OS version, and app performance data.

3. How we use your data

We process data only for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account and provide access to the app.
• To help you discover people and communities (including connection suggestions and AI-generated connection insights). To produce those insights, limited profile and activity-related information may be sent to our AI subprocessors; results are shown in the app.
• To enable secure communication and messaging between users.
• To protect the app, prevent fake profiles, and enforce community rules.
• To measure performance and fix errors.

4. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared only in these cases:

• Service providers (subprocessors): We use trusted infrastructure and product partners, including for example: Supabase (authentication, database, file storage, realtime features, and server-side functions), Expo (push notification delivery to your device), and AI inference providers (for example OpenRouter or similar) used to generate in-app connection and feed insights. They process data only as needed to provide those services and under appropriate agreements.
• Legal requirements: With authorities when required by a valid court order or legal request to meet our legal obligations.

Where personal data is transferred to countries outside your own, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses where applicable).

5. Account and data deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Account deletion: Permanently delete your account via "Settings > Delete account" in the app or by written request to support@freqspaceapp.com.
• Deletion of data: When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages, and connection data are permanently removed from our systems. Only essential security logs required by law may be retained in encrypted form for the period required by applicable laws.

6. Children's privacy

FreqSpace is intended for users aged 18 and over. Our services are not directed at individuals under 18. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete that account and related data promptly.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable data protection laws (e.g. Turkish KVKK, GDPR), you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, or request data portability.

8. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion. You acknowledge that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Terms of use

1. Scope of the service

FreqSpace is a social networking mobile service that lets users create profiles, share content, connect with others, and participate in communities.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app in compliance with applicable laws. Harassment, hate speech, fraud, spam, and unlawful content are prohibited.

3. Account security

You are responsible for your account security. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Content and conduct

You are responsible for content you share. We may remove content or restrict or close accounts to protect community safety.

5. Community standards, reporting, and blocking

FreqSpace includes user-generated profiles, posts, photos, and messages. You must follow these Terms and our acceptable use rules. You can report another user or concerning content, and block users, using in-app tools (for example from profiles, posts, or chat). We review reports and may take action including removing content or restricting or closing accounts, as described in Section 4.

6. Changes to the service

We may update, change, or discontinue the service. We will update this page for material changes.

7. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages.
